Sorry if I’m sounding cynical, it seems to me that the reason for the discussion is that parts of the rich world, parts that are actually quite cool on average, have become a warming hotspot.

That in itself was never predicted by climate models. Stop and think about what that means.

First it means that again what happens to the privileged is what counts. Heatwaves in India have for decades been far worse.

And it means that models are not suitable for seriously investigating the consequences of geo-engineering.

What none of the actors in the debate gets is that coming clear with the level of uncertainty means we’re navigating in the dark. Not climate denial.

Here in Austria we are stuck in Air Con yes or No or Trees will fix heat in the City -> from 💯 Denial maybe down to 90%
